I've never seen a woman of color as an Ice Queen so I wanted to draw one. Why shall they all be desperately caucasian?Related content

Then can I make the same statement about there being no hispanic women as the Ice Queen? Or how about an Eskimo woman, since they live in the cold. lol I think its simply because of the skin tone being close to that of snow. But I personally associated the women of minority to be represented by like fire- for their ferocity. lol My opinions though. I really like this. For the fact that you broke the stereotype. Love it.

Absolutely, logics would have required me to draw an Eskimo woman I guess (or many other kinds of women, like Tibetan or Mongol). After all there is snow pretty much on every continent so it could have been an Asian woman from North Japan, or Korea, or an Hispanic queen in Patagonia, or an actual African queen on top of the Kilimanjaro... ^^
Women of color are often associated with fire because when you don't try to think harder than what society tells you : darker skin = south = sun. And of course, the old stereotypes about women of color being more sexually engaging, just because generations of men colonizing other countries used them as badly as they wanted and got horny over other fashion styles.
I guess I just wanted to draw the pretty princess that little girls want to be.

In Japan, they had snow maidens, who were beautiful demon-like women who lured men for the kill- they too had snowy white skin. OwO It would be awesome to see a Himalayan woman as the Ice Queen with a snow beast as a guard dog so to speak.
And it's not being brainwashed by society when you actually think about the general characteristic of the women of color. If you ever ask me randomly what element would represent a Hispanic woman, I would say "fire" because Latin women tend to be very passionate if they're influenced by art- like dancing or music. I would say fire for African women because of their usual "I'm not going to take your shit" attitude. Not because of sexuality or fantasies. That's silly because red and other fiery colors are associated with sin and sexual desires, right? lol XD I personally think I like the color red because it can represent determination, rebellious nature, and passion. So does that make me not properly wired in the head or something? O.o"

This actually brought tears to my eyes -- as a woman of color who loves fantasy art, it makes me so happy on the rare occasions when I find art of someone like me. Also, it's just plain a beautiful piece of art. Well and wonderfully done!
