Out of the Capcom chicks, Chun-Li is like, my second favoriteI did put a lot of extra effort into it, because i haven't worked with a tablet in almost three months, so, i was kinda relearning how to use it ^-^;;

You're right. I'm appauled, a little drawn back and yes, a little insulted to be in a community with such big idiots. However, I'm not sure who is worse X_X; the people who flame your art or those who rant about them being jealous. Why is every flame suddenly from the root of jealousy? How closed minded.
ANYWAY, Just keep your chin up because I won't babble over it-it IS a sketch and you have definately done better, but I also most definately won't flame it. It IS a little busy but it's fine. I, for one, thought her expression was kind of cute anyway. And for the sketch that it is-it's fantastic and KEEP IT UP if for nothing else then to just spite the flamers hon

If you were walking down the street and you saw this butt-ugly person, you wouldn't walk up to them and say "EEEEEEWWW!!! YOU'RE SO UGLY!!! I HATE YOU!! COVER YOUR UGLYNESS UP!!" (besides, another person may think that the so-say ugly person is the most stunning and beautiful person on the whole planet) so why do it to art? Art to us artists, a lot of the time means more to us than our appearance after all. I can understand constructive criticism, but the rude and hateful comments are completely uncalled for.

No, I just think the picture is ugly, that doesen't mean she's not a wonderful artist, or that I'm jealous of her skills, I just think it's ugly. Sorry I didn't sit down and write a dissertation on what I disliked about it - most of the things I found wrong had already been mentioned. Some people liked it, some didn't. I didn't It's opinion.
But I don't understand why my disliking this equals jealousy?
Please explain.

Sorry but that isn't even needed. As is much of the comments on here. There where some that disliked it and polightly said why, while others turned their's into crybaby fits of jealousy. If you aren't going to leave a nice, good reason why you dislike it, then please.. Shut up. Have some respect. Or can some people not even understand the meaning of that one.
Yeah so the picture isn't perfect. Who cares.. If it was perfect, then she sure as hell wouldn't be posting it here. She would be in some big building, drawing for a real company.
As for the hands, i don't see anything wrong with them. The pinky on the left hand looks a little low, but other then that, it works. It might look weird to everyone else because its at an angle and you might not see all of it. Other then that, the hand works.
Anyways... the rude comments like the one i just posted above mine, yeah, they aren't needed. It just shows that some people can't hold their jealousy in. Yes, keep crying. Because they never stop.

Who cares where the bloody spikes are? baka... Sure Chun-Li is known for having the spikes, but the spikes don't MAKE her Chun-Li. She is herself with or without the spikes. Duh... oh.. kay... *Looks at the repeating hand thing* I don't see anything hentai about this.. are you sure your minds weren't in the gutters before you looked at this? anyway.. this has nothing to do with anything. Soooo onto what's more important! The piece itself!
Now I adore Chun Li! I always play her in all Street Fighter games and I honestly hate to play anyone other than her. But I really love how this came out, though she does look a bit chubby, but that can be SO overlooked and ignored! I mean, in Alpha Three she had fat thighs so what does that tell you? I think you drew her fantasically in your style. Cause fanart= characters drawn in another's style NOT done by the actual creators of said being. So it doesn't have to be perfect or exact. It only has to look as good as the artist wants her to look and I think she looks hella lovely in this style! I do wish I could see her legs, but hell that's not important either. The ribbons movement is wonderful. Drawing ribbons and making them move is so hard for me and I really admire your skills on that. Her hand looks interesting, but I really like how your draw your hands. So GO YOU! *waves banners* I love the way you color your pieces and this is no different. You keep drawing the way you want cause there are tons of people who are gonna love it for what it is.. myself included.

I mean yeah.. good job and everything, but the background is wayyy too busy, she looks like she is wincing in pain, like ves said- the spikies are missing!, the lineart is actually very bad... the color doesn't even reach to the lines and it looks so messy in fullview. I know I couldn't have really done any better(especially since I don't know anything about anime), but I really think you could have...

Ok.. this comment goes to each and every one of you who dis liked the deviation yet still bothered to comment.
There really isn't any point in "disguising" your bitterness and jealousy with "criticism". Which is outright ignorant criticism as well. Just because *you* don't like a piece or don't think it should even be in the daily top favorites doesn't mean you *have* to comment on it, or feel the need to "correct" the artist and not to mention.. not everyone likes the same thing.. sooo one man's "trash" is another man's treasure.
It makes me absolutely sick to see all the children "chipping in" with their criticisms for lord knows what reason (the only thing I can figure is monkey-see monkey-do). If you don't like a piece.. DON'T COMMENT ON IT.
If you feel it deserves corrections be polite and send a private note to the artist instead of attempting to humiliate them and point out all their faults to the general public. Honestly.. is it that painfully difficult to be polite? I swear.. that sort of behavior is just.. disgusting and it's what creates BAD artists.
It makes me want to take notes or write personal comments to each and every one of you about your own little faults because I know you'd hate it, and it would just eat you up
Anyway.. Cari, doll.. sorry for the long comment, this is the only part you need to read. Chun-Li is an adorable and fun character to draw, and you certainly portrayed her as both! I think you did an excellent job with the energy of the picture and if this is how you wanted to draw her, then you did very well :3

No, I believe most of these comments are fairly well articulated as to the problems in this piece, not doing it to be rude. Suggestions. I do agree with them. It's nicely colored, but it's a tad confusing composition wise and the hand does look off....but foreshortening does cause problems, so I can understand that, I have problems with it too. Keep it up!

I'm glad you're receiving constructive criticism (and hopefully it helps you improve) but a lot of it is uneedingly caustic and vicious -_-;
I like the pose, it's a little more dynamic than a lot of the stock poses I see here! It must have been really hard drawing that with a tablet and for that I admire your patience. The left hand looks a bit quirky to me though : wondering where her thumb is : and I suggest not using a repeat of the foreground as a background... that's only a personal preference though (I've seen it done in a lot of artwork and I think it takes away from the impact of the art as a whole) so you can ignore that if you want. Otherwise, nice job! Keep at it ^^
