I think the thing that really adds to it and makes me enjoy your stuff is the addition of the shadows for the small broads. It's a small touch that makes all the difference, in my opinion.

Thanks! When done right it is critical to the success of the photomanip. One of several things I had to learn was that shadows can have color: simply superimposing gray on the background looks wrong. Add that to issues of making the shadow match the shape ofits background, light vs. dark shadows, soft vs. hard edges on shadows, angles of a shadow matching the light source casting the shadow, and so on, and you might have an idea of what goes into that aspect of a photomanip!

Yeah, I can totally understand. Similarly, that's how shading in drawing can work, too. Of course, colourwise I mean. If you just add a gray shadow, it looks dirty and kinda messy, right??
So you have to make it have a tinted colour of whatever the background is, which can be many things, so I understand how difficult that can be.
