I was trying to sculpt but completely sucked. So I drew instead, to make me feel less useless
This is just kinda a quick thing...I'm not quite sure what I was trying to accomplish here. Just really wanted to draw for myself, for once. Practically everything I've done recently has been for class. While I am really, really, really improving through all those assignments, I don't think what I'm doing there is "art". It's just homework.
Dry watercolor pencils on bristol paper. Like always, so sorry for the terrible presentation. To get the colors close to how they actually are on the paper, I had to mess with the brightness and contrast, which makes the whole image look terrible. I actually do like this, so I'll try to get a not-poopy image sometime when there's sunlight, and when I get my camera back. Maybe some day I will get better at documenting these things.

It sure does have an interesting look to it, not quite sure about the lip area, think less green would've balanced that area out.

I understand how you feel about the classwork- there's a only a couple pieces from my art college years that I was really proud of! I think it is a good thing to take a little vacation, so to speak, from the classwork droll. That is an accomplishment unto itself. Good work.
