Created for the exhibition Art Heist, the piece title from the latin for rare bird, or something unique and treasured. As with most of my work the piece uses advertising imagery from magazines and returns the focus to the natural world. There is so much natural beauty but we are a nation of buyers and hoarders, maybe in an attempt to get back to the smells and sights of nature we plough through the stores buying our happiness often overlooking the free and simple beauty that is right in front of us.
