Speed-painting watercolor done of Sister, my Calico cat. She's also known as "Diddle Diddle" and she has her own little song.I was working on some other piece and decided to take a break. She was laying beside me, so I decided she would be the perfect subject.
Yes, I know... way too adorable.

nope! I just jump right on in.
For other pieces I may do various sketches and thumbnails on paper first, but I never paint over sketches. I think it looks tacky.

Even with sketching prior, you never know what the end result will look like. I paint for the experience of painting, not for the result. That's what makes art fun.
