I spent many years absolutely convinced Rodimus and Blurr had died! On one hand, I'm glad it was revealed by Word of God that they survived... but I don't think I ever quite forgave TFA for bringing back my boi Hot Rod/Rodimus only to "kill" him off in a single episode. :-/Some people may ask (Carrinth lies, no one has asked this!) Carrinth, why are ye butthurt only now about TFA. It's been 10 years! Doth this be a long time to be butthurt'd?
And thus I answer: Ye verily. But something hath triggered my dormant butthurt-ness after these ten long years of slumber... Something called...

I really tried to get into the MTMTE comics (as I heard very good reviews about it!)... but omg there were SO. MANY. (too many!!) new characters that my brain just hurt. I felt like it was 20% characters I vaguely remembered and 80% new faces who the story seemed to expect you to already know.

Plus there are many direct connections to other transformers comic series so it can get really confusing.

it was the writers. They didn't like Rodimus so they wanted to get him back for the 1986 film. Sigh. Really? Grow up...

Ugh really? Hot Rod was actually my absolute favourite character if you can believe it. I get really bummed out when people bring up Hot Rod just to drag him through the dirt. Maybe I should write/draw my OWN fanstory. With Hot Rod/Rodimus being the main focus again.

I do not see much love for him outside of the IDW comics. Simon Furman also did him justice.
