Lil gift for a friend who is helping me with anatomy, she red lines a lot of my work when she can and is a huuuuge help
I tried something a little new, twisty body pose and I suppose it came out alright x0 Trying to get over this problem with stiff anatomy, gotta get my characters a little more looesy goosey!! I'll get there >8D
Oh and I always go swirl crazy when drawing dat lyrium .___.

Erm, to add some coherency to my comment: This is a very beautiful piece. The tattoos, the pose, everything screams elegance and flow, while the colors are very warm and muted, and yet sort of pop out at you. Your talent with colors is some of the best I've ever seen. I absolutely adore this picture.

Like the tat line on the torso twist. I know anatomy...try drawing real-life swimmers. (a) swimmers are hot (b) a real yet still muscled body type and (c) there's plenty of pics and VIDEOS of them moving through water and air, nearly nude. Swimmers are well-developed yet still have body fat, and just...flow...when they move. They'll flow for you on the page too!

Like the twist torso tats... but if you want to decrease the thightness of your drawing, decrease the tightness of the subject! Draw someone with some body fat and instead of evenly-developed, strictly defined skeletal musculature (as in this body type), attempt to draw different sports dudes (maybe as elves?)...each sport develops different ares. I say start with swimmers because (a) swimmers are hot, (b) they are muscled but very fluid, not as extreme as an anime-type charcter and (c) it's easy to get real-life photos/videos of them nearly nude! Actually, watching videos is a good idea. Or you can draw from life...

I love the glowing swirls! You really can barely tell what kind of tattoos he has under his armor, so Fenris really could have swirling tattoos like this... Denarius WAS kinda crazy... the swirls may be an extension of his craziness lol.
