Description Another one so soon? Now I'm getting to the point where I have to leave numerical gaps, this is the eighth batch of my Echo Fighter Ideas, consisting of the second half of the the newcomers (on the launch roster) from Smash 4... completely excluding Lucina (Fighter #51) & Dark Pit (Fighter #54) since they're already Echo Fighters themselves. Stare at Volume 8.

49. Palutena --> 49Īµ. Medusa - A popular suggestion if link-cable.com & Delzethin's YouTube videos are anything to go by. Ultimate has seen a large influx of villains join the roster so it kind of makes sense for Medusa to enter the battle given that she's a villainess & serves an essentially opposite role to Palutena. My idea on making Medusa work as an Echo Fighter of Palutena is to make her a larger & stronger Palutena who trades in her enemy's multi-hit attacks (meant for toying with opponents) for stronger single hits (for immediate punishment). Medusa is significantly stronger in terms of offense, but also weaker in terms of defense. For her Final Smash, Medusa warps from the battlefield... only to return in her true monster form & fire her own Mega Laser that not only deals heavy damage to opponents but completely locks them in place for a while as if they're turned to stone (Medusa's schtick).

50. Pac-Man --> 50Īµ. Ms. Pac-Man (Art By FuntimeShadowFreddy) - Probably the easiest Echo Fighter for anyone to think of. Just put a bow on Pac-Man & gender-flip him! Ms. Pac-Man is already basically a clone of the original pellet eater & would fit right in with the Echo Fighters. What could set her apart is a new set of Special Attacks that have different strengths & trajectories, shaking up the strategies that Pac-Man players would normally employ if they want to take the missus into battle. One notable example being the Neutral Special, Bonus Fruit, which is re-skinned to use the fruits from Ms. Pac-Man (seven instead of Pac-Man's eight by the way), and in a similar vein to Freaky Fruit, one of Pac-Man's Custom Moves from Smash 4, all fruits (with the exception of the Banana) disappear immediately on hit, preventing fruit-grabbing after hitting an opponent.
šŸ’ Cherry: 100 points. - Knocks characters in an inverted arc.
šŸ“ Strawberry: 200 points - Knocks characters on a similar inverted arc to the Cherry, but slightly farther than the Cherry (and to a further extent, Pac-Man's Cherry).
šŸŠ Orange: 500 points - Knocks characters in a semi-spike angle, stronger than Pac-Man's Orange.
šŸ„Ø Pretzel: 700 points - Moves slowly & tends to stick around for quite some time.
šŸŽ Apple: 1000 points - Knocks characters vertically. Thrown at a strong diagonal angle downwards, useful for interrupting offstage opponents attempting to jump towards an edge. Slightly stronger than Pac-Man's Apple.
šŸ Pear: 2000 points - Acts as a slightly stronger version of Pac-Man's Melon, Travels slowly in a slight arc, & has considerable diagonal knockback. Flies slow enough that Ms. Pac-Man is able to run up to catch it. Can be used to stop approaches & will KO at high percents.
šŸŒ Banana: 5000 points - Combining Elements from Pac-Man's Galaxian, Bell, & Key, The Banana functions in a similar vein to the Boomerang item, flying off either straight ahead or at several angles diagonally upward from the direction it was thrown. Inflicts the same amount of damage every time it connects. Passes through enemies, but immediately stops & drops as an item if it hits a wall. Causes paralysis if it connects & bounces thrice upon hitting the ground before disappearing, which can also cause paralysis if an opponent touches it then. Has the highest knockback out of all Bonus Fruit charges, being the most reliable KOing projectile out of all fruits.

52. Robin --> 52Īµ. Grima - Another Crazy Idea similar to MB, The Fell Dragon himself, Grima takes a form identical to the Grima-possessed Robin (both male & female) from Awakening with most of Robin's magic (although unlike Robin, Grima's weapons & magic DO NOT get used up due to wear & tear), plus some unique moves from his dragon form. Speaking of which, Grima's Final Smash takes a similar direction to MB's, as in... Grima assumes his true form as the Fell Dragon.

53. Shulk --> 53Īµ. Alvis - Yet another suggestion from link-cable.com. They tried to avoid spoilers from Xenoblade Chronicles, but SPOILER ALERT!!! Alvis is the personification of the True Monado, and the creator of Xenoblade's world. It wouldnā€™t be out-of-place seeing Alvis use his own version of the Monado to do battle with. His arts could also be re-shuffled to be closer to his character & tweaked to match his more mysterious & all-knowing nature.

55. Bowser Jr. --> 55Īµ. Baby Bowser - A pretty odd suggestion, but I think Baby Bowser would be a perfect fit as an Echo Fighter of Bowser Jr. with actual pallette swaps. His Koopa Clown Car is more toy-like, Neutral Special launches a fireball, & his Final Smash has him turn into Giant Baby Bowser, who functions the same as Giga Bowser in Ultimate.

56. Duck Hunt --> 56Īµ. Poochy - Similar to the Baby Mario Bros., Poochy enters the battle in a similar vein to the Captain Falcon/Ganondorf situation from Melee, With a Goonie substituting for the duck. Technically, they're a dog & a bird, so why not?
