Actually, my beginning to see and understand guyxguy pairings started back in late 2016 after watching Sausage Party and getting to know its fandom on Tumblr. Gumball and Hot Dog Guy were the first-ever same-sex ship I liked that was outside Sausage Party (maybe I'm saying this because Hot Dog Guy looks like he could promote that movie).
Don't get me wrong, I love Gumball and Penny as a couple. But ever since I saw "The Awkwardness" I just started shipping these two! I mean, for God's sake, they LINKED FINGERS in that episode! It's like the universe is practically saying we should ship them!

I'm up for anything non-incest as long as it's well-written (though I tend to be strict with non-incest to the point that AUs where non-related versions of Tadashi and Hiro Himada are paired together or "The Loud House" is a sitcom and the actor playing Lincoln has a budding romance with one of the actors playing one of his on-screen sisters are no-go; some people just won't be unrelated in my head).
And I can shrug and live and let live with other people's ships. Sometimes it's in the sense of "*awkward grin* How nice. Now please excuse me; I have urgent business elsewhere. *flees while thinking 'I don't want to even think about what they're on but there's no sense in picking a fight; they have a right to their opinion after all.'*" but here it's more "I...guess I could see it. Maybe not write it myself but could see it."
