Description

The Forças Armadas Sayileiras are the armed forces of the Federative Republic of Sayil, tasked with defence of the country, as well as promoting the Republic's wider interests, supporting international peacekeeping efforts, and providing humanitarian aid. They consist of the Marinha do Sayil, a green-water navy, the Exército Sayileiro, Sayil’s land warfare branch, the Força Aérea Sayileira, a technologically sophisticated air force, the Corpo de Fuzileiros Navais, the amphibious warfare branch, and the Polícia Militar, the combined military police force.

The FArS have a total strength of 89,039 active troops.
Notable engagements have been the Great Gaian War of 1652 to 1659, the Inhambane War of 1665 to 1668, the Erusean War of 1679 to 1686, and more recently the Aezakami Wars of 1717 to present day.

Sayil is fictional country that belongs to fictional world I'm currently developing. It is basicly like our real world but differs in it's Geography. The world is set in the year 1728 (coresponds to our real world's 2014) and is stuck in a cold war between its two major powers, the Empire of Samadia (US-American culture with a Brazilian population and Portuguese language) and the Unified Republics of Jeretica (the USSR with a nordic population and Russian language). Sayil is a former Samadian colony (there are still colonies in this world) and one of its major allies. It is similar to Australia with a Brazilian population but with a smaler landmass.
