9:40 PM on a friday night,three and a half weeks ago,
i held you in my arms
and told you i'd be away for awhile
cause i needed to fix things with my wife.
and for my drive home,
you gave me the last of your sister's cookies
(you'd been secretly saving it for me),
and those two cd's you'd made for the trip
with the drawings of us as dragons
on the covers.
and as i drove away,
i never thought i'd never see you again,
and even now,
i can't stop crying.
