I'm not usually moved to draw fan art (except in pathetic cynical attempts to boost my popularity) but Monstrous Regiment gave me the urge.I scribbled a Jackrum , Wazzer , Igor, and Blouse, too (except Blouse came out looking like the goofiest ninnyhammer this side of Jerry Lewis, and Igor was really generic.)
I put more time into Maladict 'cause he's my favorite. He gets a lot of good lines and he and Polly have such an entertaining back-and-forth.
Outfit was referenced mostly from the book cover, with a little internet. Don't know if it's rank-appropriate and text accurate. Foo. And if I were true to this scene, I would draw in a campfire and a Polly. Foo, again.

It's a pencil drawing. I inly draw the figure, though. I shaded in photoshop on a multiply layer with a brush with...like, 20 percent opacity or something? Though some grays are just flat. The trees were selections I painted different grays.

I was aghast for a while the first time I read it, but have started to really like how balls-out Pratchett went with the whole idea. (I was pulling for a romance at first. When I reread the book, already knowing it wasn't one of those stories, I enjoyed it a lot more.)
