So, essentially you hate when nuts are rude to you, but you can't bother to extend the same courtesy?
Just one of more atheist making the rest of us look bad. I would NEVER use someone else's gods name in vain in front of them. Thats just called being decent to other people.

I have a few issues with this:
1. Religion doesn't cause wars. It's a myth.
2. You're intimidated/angered because someone glares at you because you commit blasphemy to them? So much for empathy.
3. Finally, what do you consider "shoving down your throat"? I'm skeptical of anybody saying that they're sick of "people shoving religion down their throat".

1. there are people willing to cause/fight wars in the name of their god.
2. what blasphemy are you talking about?
3. my mother, she shoves the idea of god to me and thinks me not believing god is awful and she's still trying to convince me every time the subject comes up. my sister won't let me express my opinions on how god doesn't exist when they get to express all they want about how a book from a time before common sense would explain how god is real. there are millions of people having religion shoved down their throats. i'm one of them.

1. There are also people who fought more wars about money. So, take your money out and burn it. But you won't do that. Start burning land; more wars were fought on that. Religion only made up less than 8% of all motivations for major wars fought in the world. I'll need to verify that, but that's what I've got so far.
2. When you take the name of God in vain, you've committed blasphemy.
3. Well, here's some advice from a stranger. Maybe you're not being clear enough. Us Christians, when trying to convert someone, appreciate it if that person would just be honest and simply say whether they'll believe or not. If they simply will not, I just say that belief or disbelief rests with them, and they can believe what they wish at their own risk. Maybe you just need to be very clear, and just say something like... you appreciate what they're trying to do, but you've made your decision, and you don't want to believe, and you'd appreciate it if they don't keep trying, and they should start trying to find others who want to hear it. I think if you said something like that, they'd accept what you believe. I know I would. I WISH people would start saying that to me.

So basically you don't hate religion itself -- you hate religious nutcases.

no.
i hate religions. they make wars, and they are the most ridiculous bullshit i've ever heard of.
but i wrote that to my artist's comments just to make people understand that i'm not burning churches, or running in buddhis temple yelling "You fucking idiots! Do you really believe in that bullshit?! Grow yourself brains and get a life!"
I. Hate. Religions.
but i can come along with people who believe if they just shut the fuck up while i'm around.

Religious nutcases cause wars, not the religions themselves. The majority of religions I know about preach peace. You can't behave like a couple of idiots make a religion evil.

i can't understand why people want to be part of religions where "God" is violent, judgmental and cruel.
and well...a couple of idiots?
i see where this is going. and i'm not even gonna continue discussing about this. i've said what i wanted to say and that's it.

People have their own reasons to be in a religion.
Where is this going? :v I'm not sure what I said that's going in any particular direction about anything.
