Progress! n.nHere's another complete sword that I will be selling at Geek.kon 09, though I will be really sorry to see this one go! Q-Q tons of fun to make and I'd love to make it again and probably will! XD
Benihime has a very beautiful design indeed. (:
Made out of aspen wood with no power tools.
Length: 46 inches.

out of which material is the triangle shaped golden things? i'm really interested in that part. how did you make it?^^

I actually had huge amounts of trouble with that part. At first I tried using tiny triangles of quarter inch thick craft plywood, then sanding out a little ridge down the center of each one. From there I ran a length of thick string down the middle, super glued it, then woodfiller + sanded the hell out of it. This process worked the best (except my string wasnt strong enough to last T-T).
Alternatively you can use Crayola Model Magic. (: Just may two very thin layers, cut out tiny triangles, run the string through the center and sandwich it.
It's really just all about improvising and experimentation. Best of luck!

ps: btw2: do you know or suggest what's benimie's bankai? i'm very interested in this because urahara said that his ban kai isn't for fighting or something like that...so do you know anything?^^

I have no idea on that one! I've been so out of the loop with the whole story that it's kind of pathetic. ): I hope to eventually catch back up on it but if you find out let me know! 
Though, I'll admit to thinking that this version of Benihime was the bankai, and the normal version was just the cane sword. I could be totally wrong though.

Believe it or not, Walmart. XD
I was browsing around in their craft section looking for different coloured ribbon and noticed that they some rope too. Luckily it was thick enough and the right colour.

Hell I'll have to try that then. I'm planning on replacing the rope between my sogyo no kotowari and that rope looked perfect.
