Description Sorry for the vertical warp! The original drawing was photographed, so there was some weird foreshortening.

This is the beginning of a character sketch for a friend in my D&D group -- a Dragon Shaman Dwarf. I really wanted to do it because this particular dwarf has high charisma and high intimidation...what would that look like? Apparently a lot like the little mermaid. Oops. I'll change the background later to something much darker. She'll also probably get some clothes. This is my first time working with Corel.

lol I agree. She wanted a sketch of her dwarf, but said she couldn't be short or have facial hair or be ugly. So apparently that's just a human with an axe.

I like this pic. But I wouldn't say that it has to look like a midget bear with chest lumps to qualify as a dwarf. Maybe go for something around 4 ft that is voluptuous with a solid skeletal/muscular structure.

Dwarves are supposed to be solid and earthy, not ugly as hell.

lol i know i know, she needs a beard. But the person who plays this character is a girl, so I'm thinkin' the beard characteristic was waved out of mercy. I also meant to make her stockier, but somehow using a digital camera go import the sketch caused some strange morphing.

possibly, she is stocky but not too stocky, I rather like it more now than when I origional posted, I may just fav it.... aww why the heck not.
