CatarsisADiez shows her style with beautiful face painting and decorative fashion! When I look for pieces to critique, I usually pick the first one that "catches my eye" as some would say. Well; this photo definitely caught my attention!
There is great amount of awesome work that deserves to be noted here, but I'll start from top to bottom like I usually do. First piece to note is the beautiful flower headdress.
When I look at the photo as a whole, I can't help but to imagine Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas because of the painted stitches near the sides of her mouth; and with this thought, the white colored paint and the spider web all contribute to how I see the face painting resembling a skull.
Now, what does the flower headdress have to do with all of that (to me)? Before I could explain why the flower headdress is important to how I emotionally feel with this photo, I had to incorporate my thoughts of the face paint. Now, the headdress brings somewhat of a counter balance in terms of imagery. Skulls can be associated with death, and sometimes flowers can as well-- but a skull wearing a flower headdress!? Well, maybe it means something along the lines of having beauty or peace in death.
The flower headdress itself is beautiful; and the purple paint matches along with it greatly. The gems on the face also contribute to that beauty factor that I mentioned with the headdress and skull combo.
In terms of the paint itself, all the strokes and designs are beautiful to me; a very great job and well done to the artist!
Overall, this is a yet another great piece of work on DA. On a more broader scale, I think that this piece is trying to symbolize that there is beauty in even things like death. I could be wrong, but who knows?
Well done and keep up the good work, aye!

Thank you very much for such deep thought. When I took the picture, I wanted to be different to what we have seen. That is why I incorporated purple color, deeply related to religion in my country (the color used on the mantle of Christ during Easter) so that gives even more mystical touch to the portrait. Again, thank you for comment, it is a pleasure
