Hannah had just parked the trailer at the showgrounds. Tamarack Park was beautiful, but the weather....not so much.

Merman trailered beautifully, as always, but Hannah wanted to test him. Even though their class was in the indoor, she wanted to ride him outside. A storm was rolling in, and this would be a good gauge for his mood today.

Before even taking off his polo wraps she hopped on and began working him. As usual, he was a perfect boy. His canter was collected but strong, and the coming storm didn't bother him in the slightest, even when thunder crackled in the sky.

He was ready, as usual.
