There's this entire period where Loki was both taller then Thor and got his cutie mark first, that Thor never talks about.Foals are not my area of expertise for drawing. They just look short. lol

Don't worry about drawing foals wrong, MLP gets their proportions completely wrong anyway.

This is because Loki is basically a Jotun. True, he was born after Thor but being a Jotun and their biology/metabolism being notoriously cold and taking ages to 'arm up', he was conceived way before Thor was a twinkling in his father eye. His father's one-eye.
So while Loki is younger in terms of birth-date, he is older in terms of beginning of life-form. Jotuns due to the very slow-process have time to start thinking/scheming prior to birth. Though admittedly their degree of cunning is limited to: he looks not to have a blue skin but he can get me a bottle of milk: lets turn pink level.
Thor's method was simpler: WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH.
Loki second magical trick was to levitate a milk bottle over Thor's head and try and see if Thor could grab it. This later helped him a lot regarding to his bonding with Mjolnir.

Fun fact about equines off the show... they're born with their legs pretty much as long as they'll be when they're fully grown. They just gotta get thicker and everything else has to get bigger.

I've always heard it as sited as being "as long as they'll be when full grown" but then when you superimpose a picture of a foal onto the picture of it as a full grown the legs always seem a tad short... not by much though.
