Recently at the Battle For the Shrine I was introduced to a new way to play Warhammer 40K. It's called Deathrace. It's hilarious, and quick. You get one racer (although you have to model him on, and off of his bike as he gets thrown once in a while
) and your goal is to be the first to the finish. The weapons and stats are standardized, and the rules are simple. This makes modeling your racer a blast, as the sky is the limit. Anything that can ride anything else plays!This mini is my new Eldar racer. I will use him as a warlock or Autarch in normal games, but now he's Chim Richalds, racer extraordinare!
The bike is made entirely out of bitz from my scrap box, so it cost me exactly $0 to build, if anyone wants to know what bitz, just comment and I'll spill the beans but this comment is entirely long enough as is

It's a dark elf cavalry helmet. I used the cold ones for Ravenguard scout bikes, so I had all the rider bits left over.

That is a wicked conversion. Where do you fiond the rules for said 'Deathrace' minigame? I am planning on building the terrain of Commorragh for my gaming room where I have had an on again off again unofficial club. I had planned on creating both a 'Circus Maximus and Circus Minimus' terrain piece for Wych Gladiatorials and a similar sounding race game for the Circus Maximus but I had only a brief concept of the rules written somewhere amongst my piles of paper.

The table sounds fun! Now you just need to solicit GW to make some lion minis to cast the loosing slaves to. Good luck on the bike building. Deathrace is a fun little game, more luck than skill. It's always entertaining to watch that power player helplessly bouncing off of walls and getting ejected from the bike lol.

No need for lions (and they have them for the High Elf Chariots in their Fantasy Range as well as the Ogre Maneater pet Sabretusks which are very cool looking as well) since we Dark Eldar have tamed (sort of) the beasts of the warp. Much nastier than lions.
No problem on the Watch. I am sure you will not disappoint. I have a Squadron of Reavers to build and each will be a conversion so I will see about those rules and keep them in mind when I build and convert them. Thanks.

It was basically like the Dark Eldar bike when it came to the driver but looked like an extended version of the current bike with a Falcon style engine out the back.

Another project is just what I need lol. I can't say when I saw this the first thing that crossed my mind wasn't "how could I build a necron bike?" Destroyer and Immortal I suppose but thats no fun. I'll try to think something up.
