This page was a nightmare---not cause it was hard to draw---but because at first, I didn't realize that the Sentinels, after being WHOOPED by Apocalypse, were replaced by brand spankin' new/psuedo Iron-Man-esque/Manga-Anime/Evangelion robots!!
I had the plain old bucket head type we're all used to. It was all done, then I did my research, and I ended up having to draw a WHOLE NEW PAGE!!
---nature of the beast I suppose. The one you see here, is bigger than the one I originally drew, and you'll notice I still kept some oldschool-"bucketheaded Sentinel" elements that many fans are familiar with. The other two (on the next page)-are pushed a bit closer to the manga style, but not much. I just didn't want to make them total knockoffs of Evangelion.

Nice Sentinel! Poor Jubilee, she finaly gets back home only to find out that FREAKING Sentinals are "guarding" the X-mansion. Another BRILLIANT IDEA from the the minds that brought the Marvel Universe the super Hero Civil War, World War Hulk and recruiting Super villains like Norman Ozborn to work for the U.S. government, I'm not talking about the people who write the comic's BTW.

I think it's magnificent! If you're doing it for an editor, then make the changes, but if you're doing it for self, and it looks good, smells good, tastes good, keep on eatin'!

Man I can agree with you on anime and stuff. Yeah I think if you add your own spice into it instead of just drawing it how the artist did it then it will be cool. Wll anyways this is some hot stuff..

i agree with the gentleman above. I love anime but I personally think it in some ways stifles an artist's creativity by forcing he or she into a certain style of design. You're style is so unique I like to see it shine through ya know.
But i love the perspective on this one. And the Sentinel really looks massive like it should. SWEET

stupid editors! I dunno why they even bothered changing them in the first place. I agree completely about the anime thing. It's becoming to much of a crutch for people who can't draw. Only if you have drawing skills should you try it, nopt use it to learn HOW to draw.

I think you should have kept your original idea, though: who cares about how these new Sentinels are supposed to look? The original design is more memorable.

Even though it's completely up to me--and even though I've clearly altered things--I'm trying to keep this arc set in a specific time(as best I can), so I forced myself to adhere to certain things, whether I liked it or not. Otherwise, why even bother trying to have some form of continuity.
