When I came across magikstock's collection of Pippa Cross stock, I couldn't resist doing this photomanipulation depicting Pippa in the borderlands, from The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray. I wanted to convey the idea of Pippa wandering near the edge of the winterlands, so I gave myself some artistic freedom here. I'm not sure I like the way it turned out, I'd appreciate any constructive criticism you might want to offer.

Oh I know, me too. I cried for over two hours -- I think that's some kind of record, lol. Not a good book to read when you're already depressed. I couldn't believe she killed off ... the character who died. And the whole Felicity situation just tore my heart in two

completely. yea the character that she killed made me so upset.... i was like HOW CAN YOU DO THAT!!!!!! but then i'm a sucker for both happy endings and tragedies so i would have been happy either way.

Me too. Actually I prefer tragedies over happy endings, it seems like the story stays with me longer when it ends on a sad note. It gives me more to think over, and the whole thing seems more meaningful, somehow ... So even though it was painful to read, if I could go back in time and persuade Libba Bray to bring you-know-who back to life or in any other way give The Sweet Far Thing an alternate ending, I wouldn't choose to.
