stepping blinkingly into the sunit has been four weeks
torrential downpour
of rain
sleeping
waking
walking
not singing
sometimes crying
in the rain
as the cat tongue texture of wet jeans
chafes the winter white skin of my upper thigh
robin red
There is a sun break
and I write the poem
to forever capture
the rebirth of light
