Wooh! MOAR POKEMON FANARTS!
Yeah...
This was initially supposed to be a wallpaper, but the file was way too huge to upload. I spent a painful amount of time waiting for Photoshop to scale this image down so I could post it as a deviation.So yes, enjoy this lovely piece of a Suicune that I did. 8D I know that background is horrible. I tried. ;.; It seems I am incapable of drawing perspective for backgrounds no matter how hard I try, but I still keep going at it! XD
Oh, and there's a free lineart for the suicune in this picture for those interested in something to colour for kicks:

The use of such dark light on such light colors ofens ruins pictures, as I thought had happened to this one from a thumbnail view, but it turned out gorgeous. I love the surreal, nightly feel radiating from it. Bravo!

Thanks! 8D Fun fact about the grass: It's the grass tool from Photoshop, but I've layered it and shaded it to try and give it more depth and to looks a little more realistic.

I wasn't planning on entering it initially, I just had a strong urge to draw Suicune, but I'd be happy to enter it into the competition if that's okay? :3 Suicune is one of my favourite legendaries, so it works. If not, then don't worry about it.

i told friends i'd draw them stuff, not to mention the contests. And while i focus on my art i also have to focus on chores, family and all that other good stuff

I hear you on that front. I'm still living at home and am basically earning my keep by doing daily chores. Problem is, is that I'm not always on top of it and have gotten into trouble for it a few times for it. Other than that, things are relatively lenient. I love my family nonetheless. :3 Even through the rough patches.
I have a couple of contests/group projects that I need to jump into personally and hope to get them done within the month.

anyway, what is Avenue Q?? just out of curiosity...

Avenue Q is a Broadway Musical Comedy performed with Puppets. It's almost like a Parody of Sesame Street for older teens and adults. :3 I've listened to some of the songs for years, they're quite hilarious, but are quite often filled with some bad language and questionable themes. XD I love them. This is the first time the show has come to Canada I do believe and my friend and I have been dying to go see it.
I also looked up some clips on Youtube recently, the play itself looks quite interesting. The puppets are brought onstage alongside their actors, so it's nothing like watching puppets popping up from behind a wall and such.

XD In many senses, yes, though I did grow up with Sesame Street when I was a kid. :3 Back in the 90's when it was actually a pretty cool kids show. They've destroyed it by this given point, unfortunately.
