I have been so busy for the past few months, I have been sick, on vacation, and have been studying very hard. On top of that I am doing my very best to finish my commissions as quickly as I can. I have cut down on all my internet and social media, since my commissioners are my top priority. Hence I have not been very active on dA lately. Even so, I missed you all very much, and I was looking forward to the time when I could come back, post art and talk with you all.
However, deviantArt has been making many changes, arguably making things worse rather than better. I am sorry to say I can no longer afford Premium...or "Core" membership...I am sure I'm not the only one. I have friends who were hopefully saving up to gain premium membership, only to be disappointed by the turn of events.
The prices have pretty much doubled, and it offers no new features at all. I won't rant about how bad it is too much, since many others already have.
But I don't see much point in staying on dA when the staff obviously don't care about the artists who use their site. If nothing changes, I will most likely deactivate after I have finished all owed art trades and commissions.
I haven't decided anything yet, so I'll make another journal if I make a final decision ^^
If I eventually deactivate, I will move my activity to tumblr~
Commissions and art trades should be done within the month ♥

I'm there for ..only 7 months... And i'm feeling so bad... To be so young on this awesome site... It seriously became all my life... And being just a new member makes me feel really sad...
I didnt have money for buying PM, I wont have money for buying Core.
But... I still wanna stay on Deviantart. Because, there are a lot of bad things, but the community is awesome, and I'm sure we can do something. It's not the end...

I actually already made a tumblr before this mess even happened, since majority of my friends already left, and I was hesitant on leaving, but after I saw this I'm kinda ready to just go on
But at the same time tumblr is such a difficult site for artists, I think I'm just gonna leave this account inactive while my tumblr and IG will have most of my art
I also have friends there too so I think it wont be a hard transaction

It would be sad to see you go, but I can honestly say I understand why.
I was considering leaving as well due to the current situation going on with everything, but in all honesty I want to find a site similar to deviantart's layout (premium, page widgit/editing, watchers, groups, etc.), but without its crappy staff.

I might leave too but being an artist in tumblr is hard to me QAQ
browsing the artwork there is quite hard especial if the artists reblogs a lot of things making the feedback page too much.
Except if they made an account for art and the other for reblogs but they are less to be honest.
DA has dissapoint many I wish they were more art websites like DA except NO DEVIANT IN THE ART QAQ

Tumblr is very random at best. Some of my art will get 1-2 notes, and others will get hundreds, it's pretty strange!

I'll stay anyway, myself. Because my art isn't that great for other sites, and here on DA there are lots of people of my skill so it seems like a place for everyone. And DA seems more communicative than, for example, tumblr.

I will stay active on dA for now, but I've been here so long now, and I do really miss the old dA. Back then it seemed like the staff listened and cared for the users, and the community was more positive in general. I'm hoping dA starts changing for the better in the future though ^^

Due to these terrible changes they have made to Deviantart, driving many great artists away, i'm afraid that maybe at one point (undecided), that I may be driven away from this site as well ... Especially I see people already saying they want their Premium(Core) Membership canceled. But I have to get requests, commissions and other things done before deciding...
I also think that I also don't want to waste $50 on Core Membership, my mother probably wouldn't be so happy about that.
Other sites i'm available on is Pixiv and FA. I loved DA before the terrible and unoriginal changes came along.

I had to cancel my billing because I can't afford the new prices ; - ; It was hard enough to afford the old prices for me...
I've been on dA for years, and I used to love it here, but that feeling is going away, it makes me sad that the newer members won't get to experience what dA once was
