This here, is why I am on Deviant Art. I love the artwork and the feeling of remorse-which is a hard emotion to reach in humans these days. People with big hearts will show more remorse than most after doing something they didn't mean or want too.
The detailing I feel is beautiful, especially the small raindrops in the background. This piece, honestly, leaves me speechless. It was made simply from the describing words as follows- wondrous, lovely, beautiful, and relatable. It really makes a viewer think, and-as a fellow writer-I'd like to point out that the description of this piece is marvelous. Great job, and I'd love to see more.

What I liked
From a frame in perspective you have utilized the border and shadowing(?) over her lower shoulders, hair and head to great effect. It really draws the eye to the important pieces in the center.
I personally loved the uncluttered but well designed clothes your subject is girded in as it provides a deep feeling of specific everyday scenarios while offering no attention stealing elements from your focus. Specifics I liked here include the slight droop to the bow = excellent.
The hair ornementation played much the same role as the clothing choices, its plays out well and engenders a sympathetic emotion. Too glitzy and the reaction might be "meh shes spoiled" lol.
I noticed the delicate manner in which you drew her neck and ear, and I liked it.
You couldn't have nailed her expression any more if you actually had a hammer and nails. It is quiescently perfect.
Her eyes are magnificent and the curcature displayed in her left eye is incredible, Just slight enough to know its there. The general shape of the eyes I found wonderful as well.
What could stand improvement
Is she wearing an apron? is it a shop dress? I can't tell and because I can't tell, where the straps fall bothers me. they should likely fall down to the center of her collarbone more. However, if its connected like and apron then it wouldn't. My suggestion, Just zoom out a touch more to allow for a larger understanding of her. But not by much, think maybe an inch but keeping the holding the current size of character. You can always keep the edges darkened like you have.
Though I like both the neck and the ear, the ear could use some 3d'ing up, showing it run closer to the skull rather then sticking out.
Her high cheekbone?/jawline? in the upper left quadrant of her face it close to perfect, but I do not have the skill to suggest a next step here. Could be the general face area needs just a bit more definition, specifically around the mouth and then up through the cheekbones, though I understand this is a style choice, One that I also like.
I know the eyebrows shapes through hair is a common choice stylistically, I just don't prefer it personally. No points off for this. Just one of personal taste. My one valid point here might be where they almost meet. They seem to raise too high, and too close to each other and her hairline, more the left one than the right. Maybe you found it was necessary to go that high, I am not sure.
Overall
You know I love it, its already in my favorites by the time this critique hits your inbox.
The lack of full stars on originality is due to the fact that while her demure character plays into her image in this picture, it doesn't define her. Doesn't make her stand out or pop. My suggestion here is to ass one or two other small elements and place them in the background, unimportant details until the point of placing your character into a real place and life comes up.

Oh man you colored it.
Your style is very soft and the expression still haunts me. I really really loved this scene and you drew her so well. You don't seem to have a definite light source, which is fine since it's just a standing pose, though I do wish for some harder shading since the light is so extreme and focused on her face. Perhaps the edges of her head/hair could use some of that cell shading.
There IS something funky about her nose or mouth. And I'm not sure which. I think it's mainly because there's no shading under or near the nose, and so it actually got lost at first for me. For a 3/4th perspective her nose is a complete side shot, though in anime I suppose this would probably be the norm?
Still overall really great work. I'd like to see you push yourself and make backgrounds for your pieces.

Remorse is a very potent emotion, as it shows that someone is human. It shows that the person has acknowledged the fact that what they did was wrong. I've seen remorse come in many forms: A policeman crying on the hood of his police car after accidentally shooting an unarmed man, a mother saying "This hurts me more than it does you" shortly before disciplining her child, even a railroad engineer repeatedly saying "oh god" after his train hit and killed a motorist. It is a pure emotion found in individuals with big hearts.
Even though most can barely see it, I did notice that there were raindrops in the background. That adds to the remorse this girl is feeling. You have done a marvelous job with this, and as a writer, I must say that what you wrote in the description nearly moved me to tears (I'm a tough rock to break... ^^' ). Friend; really is a fantastic illustration, I love the effect of tears, and the reflections in their eyes, some emotions are very complicated to translate into the drawings, I do not achieve it until now and it frustrates me a lot. The composition, colors and details are very well achieved without reaching exaggerations. The text is impressive, human beings make mistakes of all kinds and sometimes we hurt who we love the most, but the right thing to do is admit them, leave pride aside and ask sincerely for forgiveness.
