This lovely red and green macaw gives salutations from the beautiful rain forests. She would be glad if you were ever to drop by her home, as long as you're not a logger or poacher. It's in the Amazon, home to about one fifth the world's bird species.Related content

*blu is fly above, he see's looks down and sees this beautiful red and green macaw, he fly's by her and let's his feet lands on the tree branch beside her, he settles his feathers into place and looks at her with a smile* " hi beautiful bird, my name is blu and I just wanted to stop by and say hello to you and see if I can do any thing for you while i'm in the area" * while I extend my wing out for a wing shake*

It would be my pleasure to share this view with you. It's grand up here, and every tree you see out there is home to all of us macaws," she says, gesturing passionately at all the land, a deep green extending as far as the eye can see. It is a cloudy wet morning, but such is the usual weather for the rain forest, and she wouldn't have it any other way.*

Thank you^^ I referenced a photo for feathers. Actually, though I draw cartoon birds, I spend time sketching real birds and their feathers to get better at them. It is hard, especially since different birds have different feather arrangements, and an individual's feather arrangements changes dramatically depending on whether the wing is opened or closed. I simplify it though, drawing out mostly the primaries and secondaries and drawing a simple line for all the rest. Thanks.^^
