Replying in this comment so I can preserve the other one in my notifications.
I had not found the Holiday Special anywhere, although I knew it changed the horse Alex thing so it was not Alex at all (lucky him, he can say he was not present in the final issues).

Thank you.
It was a really great series.
Even though the minis from the 2000s decade had funny stories and awesome art, they were nothing compared to the real 616 team. I would like to see them used more (I still need to read the more recent issues, but I definitely want to).
I really recommend the original series, too. Except perhaps the final 10 or so issues, unless one has to read it all (like me).

I read ALL of the 1984 series and it was very good. Some great subject material that isn't touched up on nowadays.
The series can be read here:

Unfortunately, it does not include the Holiday Special, which takes place right after the series ended and HAPPILY retcons the bullshit about Alex's Horse TF and can be viewed all at once here:

Also, a comic magazine from the time printed out some facts about them; helps disclose their actual age:

It was always cool when they swapped powers between each other.

That wasn't cool. I do wish we got to see them in the different color costumes longer when they first swapped powers. They first swapped in like issue 25 and didn't change costume colors until it was near time for them to switch again. Oh well, no big deal but I'd have loved to have seen them in the new colors for awhile longer. But I guess that just makes their classic colors all the more classic.

I have this group pic, the Counterweight pic and the Sabretooth pic with their first power switch, but still with their original uniforms.

Then there is this pic with their other switch, but they are not in their uniforms...
So I guess this last one is the only pic where one of the kids is in a uniform different from the original one.

Very nice gallery. I wish Power Pack got more attention but they're one of Marvel's lesser teams and rarely get appearances these days.

Thank you. If they appeared, Marvel would likely focus in the All Ages version of them, so any possible future adaptation is recognized by kids (since any adaptation would need them to have their origin as young as they were in the comics). Even so, I would like the not-so-kids now to keep appearing in the regular Marvel Universe.

I'd be fine with the All Ages. I actually discovered Power Pack through the All Ages miniseries before finding all the classic series and reading them. It was quite the hunt. Any version of them would be fine with me I just want to see them again.

Not here. Here he is going on 13.
If he were already 15, I would not say anything. But 12 is too young, by years.

And I think Alex must be around 19 on the comics now.
He was going on 16 in the 2000 miniseries.

Did they mention his age in FF? I went mostly by having Julie as 16 in Runaways (so she could leave alone in California).
