...the hands ARE coloured? Just not on my palms, so that I wouldn't get paint on my clothes and things I touched. And this is after half a day, so of course some of it has come off after a while.

Excellent costume, excellent hair/skin/horn work! It also really helps that you got some nice, professional-looking photos instead of just the stereotypical convention pics.
Also, this may sound sort of weird, but I think your facial structure and jawline also works really well for Kanaya!

I always ALWAYS try to get professional photos. There's konvention photographers on most conventions I go to, and I have quite a kick-ass camera myself that I lend to people I know can handle it.
