My art style doesn't exactly lend itself to comic form (inking? what's that?), but I decided I had to do this anyway.I drew this when I was supposed to be finishing my drawing homework, and it occurred to me that Harry (having no logical reason to be in a muggle sweatshirt on a warm beach in the middle of February) must be experiencing his own little escape in the form of a dream. You can see what Snape thought about that.
Me, I'm just happy that I FINALLY figured out how to draw Harry. Okay, the scar's a little vague here (it melded into the hair), but I did it! W00T!

It reminds me of a scene from Barry Trotter and the Dead Horse.
During the book, Dork Lord Valumart (or Terry to his friends) makes multiple assasination attempts against Barry, ranging from blowguns to ninja stars, Barry even shouts "Lay off Valumart, the stories just begun, try to kill me again in another chapter"
But when Barry needs to die (really needs to kill himself), he runs into his room, shouting "Terry, where are you? I need you to kill me." and finds a note "Sorry Barry, got sick of waiting for you, so I went home. I'll kill you tomorrow." which leaves Barry muttering "God damn it, the one time I needed him, and he goes home?"

maybe you should try writing short fanfictions. I'm not that good a drawer therefore I rather paint with words. Especially if I get a complex idea like your story. Maybe you'll find out that you are good at it, too!

I sometimes have an inner monologue or backstory with my stuff. Harry fell asleep during a Potions class on a cold February morning and began to dream about being on a warm beach (I am SO ready for Spring Break to start, sigh). Snape wasn't too thrilled with this. Harry is now hoping to have a dream run-in with Voldemort to get him off the hook.
And I'm sorta working my way into doing comic pages...slowly. Everything is a gradual process with me. This was mainly to practice with speech bubbles...and figure out how to draw Harry. I know there probably should have been multiple panels if I was going to do this as a proper comic, but I wasn't focusing on doing that yet. I'll get there eventually.
