Description It's about time I actually posted something here :n
*copy-paste from Flickr*

Wanted to try revamping one of the original six toa, and, being the coolest of the Toa Mata (pun intended), Kopaka was an obvious choice.

The only piece from the original set is the mask, seeing as I don't actually own the set. The feet were a pain to do, and I'm not too happy about the outcome, but this was the best I could come up with. The MOC is fully articulated and -almost- completely purist (it only required cutting tubes).

What a build! What a tribute! May the heart of Metru Nui,Β and the rest of theΒ Bionicle, live forever!

Whoa, that's a really interesting build! I'm in awe of how some MOCers like you can make such compact parts. He looks a little hunched because his shoulders go up so much around his head, but he seems awesome! He looks a bit short, but maybe it's my imagination? I wonder how he sizes up next to the original set...

Thanks! He might look a bit hunched due to the actual image (this MOC was hard to photograph), but the original set's head was a bit too far in the front as well (IMO at least). I believe he's the same size as the original set, maybe one axle length shorter because I lowered the head a bit and made the feet a tad shorter, but I compensated for that by extending the torso a bit. I'd post a comparison picture, but I sadly don't own any of the Toa Mata/Nuva.

Looks nice. Don't really like the chest honestly, but it doesn't look bad really. You do know there is a lego category for posting deviations in though, right?

Thank ye

Nothing I can do about the chest, and I saw the LEGO category after I uploaded it, and forgot to change it :b

I quite like the revamp, Cezium. The chest is lovely, and the whole moc just looks good IMO. Also, cutting tubes is purist, a Technic Motorcycle had you do it. Forgot which one though >.<

The 2010 motorcycle, I forget if I actually cut mine but I seem to recall that you didn't have to

Oh yeah, it was that one. Only proves my point more Anyway, thank you for clarifying that, Dakrsyde.

Thanks.

Ah, I see. Well, I use the tubes that I get from a local store, so I don't have to worry about damaging actual pieces (and I get around 0.75 meters of tubes for 10 cents). And, since these are pretty much the same size as LEGO tubes, they're perfect for MOCs that require cutting c:

Ah. I just cut flex tube, because why not. It has helped with many a moc as of late. Anyway, just wanted to clarify that it IS in some form purist
