I learned alot from feng zhu's vid, i would say 1 prominent difference about landscape and close up is that , depth would take over for landscape , and ambient occlusion wil ltakeover for close ups. Also seperating fore,mid, backgroumd, using overlapping to enhance the sense of depth will also help, And the most important thing is dont screw up your perspective for hard surface environment like that.
