Another one for Grad Show. C: I'm going to be animating these characters! 8DBecause I wanted to do an extra animation assignment but I had nooo idea what to do. I brainstormed a bit with my teacher, I said I wanted to do something four legged... Maybe. He said that seeing animation of flying things has the potential to be awesome, so he said I should try doing a gryphon.
I was like OKAY
I love flying things, "Test Drive" was my favourite part of HTTYD.
So I spent time this week designing these guys.
They still don't have names.
But they're © to meeee
PS. I don't know what those trees are but I like them.

Griffins are entirely underrepresented in fiction, especially as main characters. I've been brewing a story with some for ages (some stubborn plot kinks to work out), but I always love to see more! Good luck with the animation, can't wait to see it when you're done. c:

I know this is a late reply BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LINKING THAT the very first gryphons that caught my eye were Jen Hagar's back in 2000 when she was a member of Aimee Major's old forum, just when she got accepted to CalArts. I found her blog and the concept art for some of this, but not the actual demo reel. So seeing this finally is wonderful. <3
