I really like the stylized look on your Gizmoduck design here, and your take on a newer, edgier look on him. He looks really cool and epic. I also like that coloring style you used as well. It adds a three dimensional look to a cartoon character but gives it a natural, organic feel. Also just the fact you remember this underrated character is a big plus for me, good job~

Thanks. First.... Ducktales is one of my top favorite cartoons of all time. Also after working on Epic Mickey 2 I spent the better part of a year developing Epic Ducktales before Disney closed our studio. I have all the episodes digitally and watch them a lot.... I painted this and all the other duck stuff as a way to try and get the attention of Disney TV Animation so I can be a part of the new TV series. havent heard a thing yet

Golly, you sure are an accomplished artist. I took some time to look at your portfolio and it is indeed very impressive, especially that you did design work for Epic Mickey. That is a shame about Epic Ducktales. The only work I've seen of that show lately was a Ducktales Remastered that was made a couple years ago by Way Forward Technologies. As for the Ducktales show, I watch them from time to time, though I don't own DVD quality, in fact it's rather grainy and low res, but I still enjoyed them, though particularly Gizmoduck. I have a soft spot for duck protagonists, and looked into EuroDisney for inspiration, the Duck Avenger being a big part.
I've noticed a lot of shows these days focus on the lesser quality drawings, including Disney recently with their new Mickey Mouse shorts that are very simplistic and extremely perverted. Sadly it seems to be a low demand for artists of your caliber to get work much anymore, which is a sort of sad truth. Honestly even with my independent self study, I feel I wont have much place in the art industry either, even if I reach your skill level, but that wont stop me from trying somehow. I hope that you wont stop trying either.
You know, as much as Ducktales holds a special place to you, you could have the gall to pursue your own duck animation. That Duk and Run comic has some good potential. I mean if your passion for ducks is as big as I think, you could make something better than Ducktales. That's just my opinion of course~
