Hello all!

So here's another wonderful Mega Evolution for Onyx and Amethyst, this one for Luxray. Let's see some stats:

Ability: Strong Jaw
Evolves from Luxray w/ Luxrite
HP: 80 -> 80
ATK: 120 -> 135
DEF: 79 -> 95
SpA: 95 -> 118
SpD: 79 -> 95
SPE: 70 -> 100
BST: 523 -> 623

Mega Luxray is something I wanted from the get-go. Luxray was such a cool electric type Pokemon and it had so much potential, only to end up being severely underwhemling. I think a lot of people picked up a Luxray in Diamond and Pearl and thought to themselves "man, this thing is pretty good" but once outside of the limited pool of Gen 4, Luxray is out-shined by other electric Pokemon like Electivire, Rotom, Mega Manetric, and Mega Ampharos. It was in no way a bad Pokemon, it just did not really shine in any specific area. Too slow, sub-par bulk to make up for it, and few STAB physical electric attacks to take advantage of it's high physical attack.

Well, This Mega Luxray spread seeks out flesh out the concept that already exists. A 135 base Attack stat maxes out at a whopping 405. This is paid with Mega Luxray gaining access to the moves Night Slash, Superpower, Flame Charge, as well as getting STAB from it's existing Crunch and added Night Slash. It also gains access to Fire Fang & Ice Fang at Egg Moves and Dark Pulse. It's boosted Special Attack, maxing out at 368, allows it to take advantage of its Discharge, Dark Pulse, and Hidden Power. Higher Speed means it no longer has to worry about being outrun by everything, and with Flame Charge, Mega Luxray can increase its speed exponentially while dealing noteworthy damage.

The Ability Strong Jaw gives a further boost to Mega Luxray's Crunch, as well as allowing it to deal heavy damage with Thunder, Ice, and Fire fangs should you choose that route. Superpower is the last added move Mega Luxray gains through Move Turtor. Superpower allows for Mega Luxray to deal one really powerful hit and, if used along with Flame Charge to gain boosted speed, would allow Luxray to bail out following the Superpower and recover its decreased Attack and Defense. I chose Superpower because Mega Luxray, with such high Attack, could use a bit more coverage offensively.
