as Percy and Sarah are making their way to the Ffarquhar branch, Percy asks how Sarah ended up in a forest, Sarah isn't pleased with Percy's grammar and tells him "you must be careful about what words you use, you could offend someone with a poor word choice." then Percy was flagged down at Elsbridge because the engine who was filling in for Thomas left passengers at the platform, and with a station worker acting as guard, Percy and Sarah agree to take the passengers.
