This accidently happened to me and my brother on Soulsilver and Heartgold (respectively). I was trading him a Lapras for an Ariados and one of our games died. When we turned it on again, we had two Laprases!

there is none, mostly you have to tried it yourself, but I would say around 3-4 seconds.

Thank you for posting this! I was looking for a tutorial on how to clone that wasn't a 20 minute long youtube video! This is extremely helpful and can be read and reviewed quickly! I cloned some of my event pokemon now which I have wanted to do for a long time!

That's it shiny pokemons are busted in this game. At least i don't even have to try to get a shiny anymore.
Can just keep cloning shiny legends and s**t till i get bored. As you people know because of friend safari,poke radar,shiny charm AND this clone trick shinies's value drops a LOT. They will eventually be common as normal pokemons.
This gives me some positive things though,like i don't need to try to get pokemon as a shiny,i can just try and get the good stats. now THOSE pokemons are valuable not some super easy shiny pokemons. Enjoy your stupid shinies i have grown bored of them,they're just recolored afterall
