I could have been really terrible and added a soccerball stuck in the tree but--Initially this was just a doodle of Yuuichi, until I added Kyousuke in and then ...a tree. Not necessarily the tree that Kyousuke climbed btw.
Was inspired by some children's books I've been flipping through for references at my workplace. I've never really appreciated how stunning and refreshing the visual styles for children's illustrated books were until now!
Yuuichi and Kyousuke are from Inazuma Eleven GO

Oh, are there any you'd recommend..? (: Man thinking on the books we grew up with, there were plenty with gorgeous traditional paintings/sketches LET'S GO TO THE LOCAL LIBRARIES AND SIT IN THE KID'S SECTION...

XD; Aw man, I can't think of any off the top of my head and it was a while since I really looked at some. I usually just pick up ones that look interesting, some of them are older ones too that have more realistic art or really great paintings. @u@

Oh, and on a related note, I've also gotten more interested in the older manga styles. Ever since I started reading one of Tezuka's works ('Adolf') and Hagio's 'Heart of Thomas' I've been all over the art :'D afakjfh I fell in love with it.
