Finished Bambi, A Life in the Woods yesterday, veeery good book, and was inspired to draw this.This... was ment to be much simpler. Halfway through CGing though, I decided to change some things and it was necessary to add everything behind the old stag. I'm happy with it... but I'm not the best at backgrounds. It probably is one of my better attempts, and yeah, I was going for the blunt and freaky style you see in the trees. x3 Was a bit rushed in the end, but oh well.

That was the color they appeared to be in the movie, so I just went on that. ^_^;

He's very elegant. The shape of the face is perfect, the detail on the antlers is very nice, and I like his eye a lot; it stands out like a coal against the muted neutrals of his fur.
