I wanted to do something special this October since Halloween is my favorite holiday and I thought this might be fun. For a while now I've been planning and working on a new comic series called "Monster". It can be best described as my attempt at a magical girl series; bit of scifi, bit of fantasy, toss in some eldritch horror and my own odd brand of comedy. So each day I will post some sketches and doodles pertaining to the series with a bit of info about what's in it. If I'm lucky perhaps we'll finish it all up with page one?

Rachel Ní Aisling: Rough Bio (subject to future change)
Rachel is a young woman in her early 20's; she is slender and very tall (almost 6' 2") she is a pale, freckled, emerald eyed, redhead. Her hair is long in the front and buzzed in the back, it's very frizzy so she almost always has it pulled back, usually braided. She is originally from Ireland but moved to the United States after high school (where she almost immediately lost her accent, it does sometimes resurface when she's upset) She attended a prestigious college for sciences and technology graduating with stellar grades and a Masters in Computer Science. Up until recently, she was working as a computer programmer. Rachel is friendly but shy, she doesn't like drawing unwanted attention to herself and tries to blend in with the background. She is very helpful but has a tendency to worry and tries to figure out the "rules" for almost everything she says or does so as to avoid her fear of failure. She loves Science Fiction and almost everything science related, especially robotics and AI. Her weapon is a long spear which she sometimes changes into two short spears. In combat, she is quick and calculating coming up with almost every strategy for the Team. Her symbol resembles a simple circular Celtic knot and is on the back of her neck. She has made quick friends with the rest of the girls on her team but her strongest bond is with Dee Dee. The two have known one another for years, living together as roommates, and share a room on base partially from a lack of room and partially from Dee Dee's dislike of the situation as a whole.
