Me likes a lot I love the rough feel of the brushes, and how at the same time they accentuate the lights so much more! Has the feel of a chalk painting, but not quite, something more... I especially love the texture of the brush you used for the brightest strokes - on Cas' wings and forearms, such rippling sparkles of light, and combined with your idea of him getting his mojo back, it can look like his Grace glittering around him briefly And I like how you drew him, he's looking at himself, flexing his wings, and we can't see whether he's happy, which I think is interesting. I'm excited about human Cas, too, by the way Anyway - a lovely experiment and lovely results! I like how B&W enhances the focus on the brush strokes, by the way.

Aaha! You just provided me with the perfect argument for my complete lighting fail in this painting, it is his grace! Awesome!
Thank you very much! I'm glad you like that you can't see his face, that was a big aspect of this for me, I wanted his focus to be on himself, very introspective with emotions unknown to the viewer.
These brushes were a lot of fun, you should have a play!Β

Yeah don't worry about it dude, it's good, forcing me to look at my faults is actually very helpful, dragged me out of denial!
I don't think i'll be redoing this since it was a very quick slap n dash play with brushes but I hope my next painting shows better control!
