Anything larger than what I upload is reserved for prints, as gifts, or otherwise. Β This isn't specifically labelled as a 'wallpaper,' and I'm hesitant to letting large images roam the internet after people have used them without permission in the past...the easiest way to take care of that is to just not let larger renditions of the image release to the public.
It's not that I don't mind rendering things that large, but enforcing my ownership and controlling distribution of my art, especially if I intend to make prints of things to give to family, friends, or so forth, becomes a nightmare.

It invokes the image of a volcano erupting in a spiraling frigid blizzard in my head. With that said, the color play is stunning. I'm attracted to the reds and the whites equally. Very nice piece of art.Β

Unlike some of my saturation-happy images, the limited scope of the red and overall smoky/cold feel portrays what it needs to without sticking out in an obnoxious way in my opinion. Β Although the reds and whites can be intense at parts of the image, the scope of their intensity is localized and engaging (in my opinion at least).
I appreciate the feedback greatly; comments like these mean much more to me in determining what works and doesn't when compared to "grats on the DD."

You know, at first I didnt see it as a volcano. It reminded me of the picture of Star V838 Monocrerotis, taken by the Hubble Space Teloscope. But I love this piece either way.

Hah, I'm not at all surprised that fractal artwork can be representative of planetary nebulae. Β I'm surprised to see just how similar it is in certain areas though, that's definitely an interesting observation, which I thank you for making!

Thank you very much! Β My best guess is that the center is a saturated color, and the white 'wisps' spiraling around it fade out as you get further away, so you eye naturally is drawn into the center.

Also the outer areas are a bit washed out and add to that effect. Very dynamic piece.
