Description This is a painting off of my post-Dark Heresy/Black Crusade group from Warhammer 40K. There was also a Slaaneshian bureaucrat that I didn't paint. He was usually hiding with his cameleoline cloak, so there's that.

From left to right:

Harlock, post-Inquisitional sniper turned psyker. He's been able to rack up an impressive kill count, and became even more powerful as he learned to control his psychic powers.

Scarlett, the chaos cult of Vulture's rest's resident psyker - a completely devoted follower to the dark gods. She managed to become the first marked character of the group (Tzeentch), and is insanely powerful.

Sessily "Star" the renegade, previously hired by the Inquisition. Served the Imperium because the other choice was a lifetime imprisonment on a penal planet. Ended up joining chaos because it was as close to freedom as she could get. Also, the reward from the Imperium was a boltshot to the head at the end of her contract. Survivor of countless mortal wounds.

Asgrim the heretek. He had the mechanoid mutation, but he wasn't available through most of the campaign. I wanted to paint him anyways, because it's fun to paint hereteks.

Wilhelm the renegade, previously an Inquisitional hierophant. Joined chaos after realizing that we'd be killed at the end of our contract. He started out as a fanatic with the belief that there is no innocence. Known for being unstable, unstoppable and a pyromaniac.

Ah the fall from the Inquisition to Chaos, one of my characters had a similar experience.

Dual shotgun wielding Arbiter, got slapped with some warp shenanigans and vanished into the warp, had to make a new character, muuuuuch later, he comes back as a daemon host boss who'd teleport around and unleashed hell with his shotguns like Overwatch's Reaper, he brutalized 3 of our party of 6 and we weren't able to kill him :'D

Haha, that is hilarious! We were always fearful that other characters from other campaigns would show up (it was all set in the same setting). Before we played Dark Heresy, we played Deathwatch - and the group we had would've been problematic x) Although, I played a Ravenwing Veteran techmarine, who mainly rode around on a bike and tried to ram most things - apparently most things we fought were bigger than my bike, and I spent most battles tumbling through the air.

As is the case 40k, everything is bigger and meaner than you, amusing we also ran into our Deathwatch group a little bit, my guy there being a Salamander Forge Master when we retired that game, got a picture of him in my gallery, he mostly just set things on fire or ripping enemies limb from bloody limb with his servo-arms or doing techmarine shenanigans

Yeah, looked him up - nice! He must've had ridiculous damage output with all those extra limbs aswell O_O One day I'm hoping I'll get to be apart of a high rank campaign aswell, think our Deathwatch campaign ended in the earlier stages of rank 2. One day, perhaps!

Damage output less so as it was usually either bolt, fire or THE CLAMPS! but he was a tank and shrugged off nearly everything, love the Machine trait Β  Damage output goes to our Black Templar assault marine who died a glorious death, if you've played Mass Effect 3 with Grunt's sacrifice, it was pretty much that but with a planets worth of orks chasing us against him covering us as an exterminatus was about to commence

Β (Ah, this seems like it was fun.

Β I find the sniper rather interesting, like how creepy he looks. The psyker who scrimshaws her own arms seems absolutely lovely, very nice. The armor for the renegade is nice and brutal, and I like the 'survives everything nothing can kill her' aspect. Dark mechanicum are cool, and that last one... is an impressive kind of total savage. And under normal Ork society never, however Chaos and the Warp have a way of mixing and changing things. If they've sworn themselves to Khorne instead of Gork and Mork, then I could easily see them following a human of Khorne by simple virtue of him being the strongest.)

It was quite fun, but very exhausting, and I rarely paint anything other than my own characters - because I don't need to take other peoples consideration into the designs :3 They were pretty open about it though

And thank you! They are quite the team - the last guy, whose got the blood boyz on his side (which will probably turn out to not be true in the end - orkz doesn't really follow humies) has the good fortune of having a warboss worshipping Khorne on his side - otherwise the orkz would've killed us. The warboss had a huge two-handed axe on his back that emminated a psychic aura - we suspect daemon weapon. Might eplain why he'd even consider fighting for us :3

Also, thanks for the fave

Β (Ah, that tis how I feel about group-work. And I understand exhausting... creative stuffs so often are.

Β And you are most welcome! And ah, I see, that does make the most sense out of the set. And a good old Daemon Weapon has been the source of many a corruption, so I can easily see that.)
