Page for my "Practical Visitor's Guide to the Labyrinth"
Painted in Photoshop CS5, using the film as reference.
About 9 hours of work.

Sorry about the copious watermarks. They aren't going anywhere. Don't ask. I am SO proud of this project so far, and would hate to see any part of this turn up somewhere else.

Actually finished this page before my four week hiatus... but wanted to finish a companion page before I posted... well... half way through that companion page, and decided to just go for it! Gotta get more active here on dA again! It's been far too long.
The long-awaited Ludo page! Ludo has always been one of my absolute favourites... he's simply charming. I am pretty pleased with this page overall

I was honestly a bit intimidated as well! I wouldn't want to get Ludo wrong! I'm sure you'll do a great job with it. After all, you've already drawn Jareth... and he's a pretty intimidating subject

I have drawn Jareth... and a bunch of Laby OC's. I really do mean to sit down and do at least a sketchpage for each of the main movie chars. For some reason Ludo intimidates me, though. Him and Didymus.

I really like your Librarian design! Wish he could have been in the movie... would've been awesome! I imagine him being friends with the Wiseman
Didymus is a challenging character to draw, it's very easy to make him look too harsh because of his odd facial features (and eye patch lol).

Thanks! He was actually several years in development, and someday I'd like to do a full-body costume of him, possibly with short stilts in the legs. Kind of a puppet-costume. He's a grumpy old cuss but I bet he'd let the Wiseman wander through the Library. He seems like he'd be nice to the books. He's also semi-friends with the goblin cook Weech, who appears in the Goblins book but isn't really a character in the film. I think you get a glimpse of a puppet that follows an alternate version of her design...
All those tufts of fur... I need to bite the bullet and try drawing him.
