Description
This is my first piece that I did for the art show this year, and my first time doing oil paints as well. For my first time doing oil paints, I'd say that it was very successful. It was a lot of fun to do, so much so that I did two other oil paintings for the art show besides this one.

At the time I had recently been watching Hellsing Ultimate and wanted to do something with Alucard as the subject matter. My art teacher suggested that if I was going to do an anime character, that I paint him more realistically as opposed to the anime style. It was a good decision, because Alucard looks more badass than ever! I hope to make more realistic paintings of anime characters, because it is really fun and interesting to see the characters like this.
