Yeah and now imagine that he's going to kill Mabel by turning her into edelwood. And I don't think Beast could make the same mistake again like overreacting about his lantern and make Dipper question the knowledge in the book. And I think he could easily forget about it if he saw his own sister almost dead (or turn into tree).
