I don’t often watch a film where it brings up so many feelings I don’t even know what to do with them, but The Place Beyond The Pines is one of them! I can’t remember the last time I’ve empathized with a character so much (Ryan Gosling… dude.)

Not to get all mushy, but this really touched a nerve. I cried a whole lot. If you missed out on knowing one of your parents, for whatever reason, it might make you question what you think you know about them. This gave me a little hope that people might not be all bad, despite their choices.

But I digress! I’m terrible at articulating anything so I like to paint it instead
