Jack is the only guardian to have actually died. He was brought back after his death. Well, if you had the opportunity to go and make your own guardian, you would only want to keep the good attributes he has, wouldn't you? Frostbite is the leftovers that were separated from Jack after he was brought back. That's why he is so timid. He has neither Jack's confidence, nor his fun loving spirit. He has only anxiety. An emotion that, while Jack is not completely foreign to, he is not relatively consumed by it in the same way that Frost is.

I'm sorry for not fully explaining that. But that's why Frost and Jack are the only opposites that look similar to one another. They are two sides of the same person, who lived 300 years ago.

That is fascinating, although incredibly sad for Frost. It seems a rather pitiful existence to be nothing more than the cast-off of someone that's everything you're not. Then again, I suppose this is basically the same concept behind the other opposites. It's a wonderful idea on your part. How'd you come up with it?

I'd noticed that sandy and pitch had the same powers and were opposites in every other way. That's kinda how it all started.  Everything else just sort of evolved off from that.
