Description This is my first project working with resin. The drink me potion looks realistic enough, however, I stirred the color into the resin too vigorously resulting in lots of little bubbles. The tag is made out of polymer clay, and I added a super cute little key charm! I want to make this into a necklace eventually β™₯

Wow, this would be a great necklace for any Alice in Wonderland fans! That key charm must be tiny 0.o
Do you use pigments specified for use with resin, or oil paints (or something else)?

Awww thank you! The key charm is pretty small. Β I actually used fabric dye called dye-na-flow by Jaquard. I read that it works well to keep a nice translucent color, and I thought it worked nicely!

No problem! I've seen pretty great reviews for dye-na-flow, but I use oil paints (easily available lol). They're translucent, but kinda chunky to mix. Dye-na-flow does look really good though!

Yes, it works really well! I want to try using oil paints as well though, do you recommend any good brands?

I use a ProPaint 12 colour pack Β for AUD$4(12ml in each tube. A little goes a long way). It's nicely translucent when mixed, but it's a bit jelly-like, so you have to REALLY squish it and mix it! I wouldn't recommend the scarlet colour of this brand though, the resin destroys the colour and makes it orange. You might want to get a small 12 colour pack, try it out, and use Dye-na-flow to replace the colours that come out weird. Good luck!
Also, thanks for the points!
