Is there an even bigger print available for download? I saw a 1920 x 1200 wallpaper by wizards where the details are even sharper, but the pic is cropped there and theres two ugly gray bars that look like splashes of paint

Thanks for contributing to a cool deck, my blue/white dragon deck works fairly well, more so since I'm new to MtG. Great art work too!

Do not be deceived by his appearance; beneath the thin veneer of wisdom and enlightenment, he is a tyrant, just like the other four Dragonlords oppressing the Humans in Tarkir.

This calls for the mass application of tactical nukes.
Of course, this doesn't solve the problem of the Elemental Storms which spawns more of these monsters. Where is a Red Alert Weather Control Device when you need one...

SomeRandomMinion In reply to BrutalityInc [2016-01-27 06:05:16 +0000 UTC]
That's assuming that all the nukes' radiation doesn't somehow manifest as ANOTHER Dragonlord, or even that you can do that without rendering all of Tarkir uninhabitable.
(And even then, that may not get all of the dragons. In the altered timeline, the Dragons' numbers were FAR greater than they were in the origianal timeline pre-extermination IIRC)

In other words, there's no hope for victory and freedom for the Humans in Tarkir - short of another jaunt into the past and making sure the spirit planeswalker dragon, Ugin, dies in his battle against Nicol Bolas, which according to the lore would end the Elemental Storms spawning the dragons. But without Ugin, there will be no chance of stopping the Eldrazi from destroying the planes, as he once successfully accomplished together with Planeswalkers Sorin Markov and Nahiri, when they imprison the eldritch abominations in the plane of Zendikar.
(Of course, one can let Nicol Bolas kill Ugin, then kill Nicol Bolas to prevent him from acting on the information he extracted from Ugin and free the Eldrazi in Zendikar, the very reason he went to kill Ugin in the first place. But killing Nicol Bolas or even stopping his Machiavellian plans isn't exactly possible, is it? He's Nicol Bolas!)
What a dilemma!

SomeRandomMinion In reply to BrutalityInc [2016-01-27 06:37:38 +0000 UTC]
Yup, that's about the size of it. Let Ugin die, you free the Humans from the dragons...and kill an arguable hero who helped seal Lovecraftian horrors away. AND you're giving said horrors a "Get Out of Jail Free" card.
Save Ugin, you set up the dragons as the undisputed masters of the entire plane, setting the humans clans against each other, each with their own brand of control...BUT, you also prevent the aforementioned horrors from getting freed.
...Yeah, catch-22 there.

Unlikely...this IS Nicol Motherf***ing Bolas we're talking about. The SOB likely picked this moment at least partly because stopping him WOULDN'T be an all-around win.

BrutalityInc In reply to SomeRandomMinion [2016-01-27 07:18:28 +0000 UTC]
I would suggest finding a way to blow up an entire plane in hopes it will take him with it, but not only would the collateral damage be unacceptable, it'll likely just play into his claws.
Where is an Ultimate Nullifier when you need one? I mean, this is the multiverse we're talking about. How hard can it be to crossover with the Marvel Universe...?

Assuming even THAT wouldn't be part of his plan somehow; Xanatos Gambits and all that.

I love the framing of your pieces, and this character in general has excellent movement. Don't worry about the wings, they look beautiful. You have an impeccable sense of detail and scene that I only wish I could have. Nevertheless, the way the hips and feet are in relation to the building and the dragon seem... a bit extended, as if Ojutai is leaning forward, about to take off. Knowing your work, however, that was probably intentional, and the subtlety is lost on a Philistine like me.
Long story short, it just feels as if his weight isn't on his center of gravity, I'm an idiot, please don't chew me out for critiquing your work without being an established artist!

I have a playmat with this artwork and I have to say that I simply find it breathtaking. I don't know what it is about the feathered wings on this guy and his species, but it's incredible. I was also ecstatic when I got the card of him. Foil even. Keeping it forever! xD
Bravo on the beautiful piece. You're definitely one of my favorite card artists!
